My story 

When I was five, my Nana said “I don’t know what she’s going to be when she grows up, but she will be the leader.” Cut to 2008, when I was working towards my first promotion to leadership, where instead I ended up on a performance improvement plan, on the brink of losing my job.

I realized that trying to lead by brute force, cutting others down, and simply being the top performer was not the path to being a successful leader.

So I began studying successful leaders around me and realized by leveraging my instincts and being a human-centered leader, you can rise to the top and feel good about it.

This work evolved into my trademarked Mama Bear Leader ™ framework, designed to reimagine the way we work.
